Kabuto Yakushi begins as an unassuming genin and reveals himself as Orochimaru’s most trusted spy — a brilliant medical ninja who spent years feeding intelligence to the Hidden Leaf’s greatest traitor. Soft-spoken and endlessly adaptable, his true loyalty is only ever to his own survival and identity.

Heir to the snake

After Orochimaru’s apparent death, Kabuto absorbs his master’s remains, gaining serpentine powers and a Sage Mode drawn from the Ryuchi Cave. He remakes himself into something greater than the man he served, blurring the line between disciple and successor.

Master of reanimation

Kabuto’s most dangerous feat is perfecting the Reanimation Jutsu, resurrecting a legion of dead shinobi and legendary sorcerers to fight in the Fourth Great Ninja War. His army of the undead forces the entire alliance onto the defensive and reshapes the whole conflict.

Broken by a reflection

Kabuto is stopped not by force but by insight. Confronted by the reanimated Itachi Uchiha and trapped in the Izanami, he is made to relive himself until he accepts who he truly is — the one defeat that finally halts his reanimated horde and ends his war.
