The hand behind history

Black Zetsu is the series’ ultimate puppeteer. It authored the tale of the Sage of Six Paths’ sons, planted the myth that drove the Uchiha and Senju feud, and inscribed the stone tablet that generations of Uchiha read as prophecy — all forged to manipulate humanity across centuries toward Kaguya’s return.

The betrayal of Madara

Attaching itself to Madara Uchiha, Black Zetsu poses as his ally and creation, feeding his ambition and guiding his revival. At the decisive moment it turns on him, seizing his reborn body and using it as the vessel to bring Kaguya back — revealing that the war’s supposed mastermind was only ever a tool.

Sealed with its mother

Exposed at last, Black Zetsu is sealed away alongside Kaguya by Naruto and Sasuke. Its defeat closes the deepest layer of the story: behind every villain stood this whisper, and behind the whisper stood the goddess at the origin of chakra itself.
