As Operation Strix and the wider work of WISE continue to maintain the fragile peace between Ostania and Westalis, Twilight reflects on his origins and the painful history he carries, reinforcing the conviction that drives him to build a world where children no longer cry. The arc weaves this introspection together with several lighter, character-driven storylines that develop the supporting cast. With Franky's help, Loid begins guard-dog training with Bond, but the dog grows forlorn, and Franky suggests the drills are stirring bad memories from Bond's time as a Project Apple test subject, prompting them to make the training fun instead.
