Doggy Crisis Arc

A trip to adopt a dog collides with a terrorist plot to assassinate a Westalian minister, and Anya, aided by a precognitive dog she names Bond, races to stop a bombing and save Loid.

The Doggy Crisis Arc begins lightheartedly, with Anya requesting a dog as a reward for earning her first Stella Star, prompting the Forgers to spend a weekend visiting a pet shop. The outing turns dangerous when Loid is suddenly called away on a WISE mission to prevent an assassination plot against Westalis's visiting Foreign Minister Brantz, orchestrated by a group of isolationist terrorists determined to reignite war between Westalis and Ostania. At the same time, Anya encounters a large white dog at a facility connected to the plot, a creature that was a test subject in an experiment and possesses the ability to foresee the future. Reading the dog's visions, Anya glimpses a catastrophe in which Loid is killed by an explosion at a clock tower while Minister Brantz is assassinated, triggering renewed war. Determined to change this future, Anya runs off with the dog to stop the bombing, with a confused Yor chasing after her. Through Anya's telepathy and the dog's precognition, the family thwarts the terrorists and saves the minister and Loid. Anya names the dog Bond, after a character from her favorite spy cartoon, and he becomes a permanent member of the Forger family.
