Bus Hijacking Arc

Eden's first graders are taken hostage when terrorists from the Red Circus hijack their museum buses, leaving Anya, Damian, Becky, and classmate Bill to survive while WISE scrambles to respond.

The Bus Hijacking Arc places Anya and her Eden Academy classmates in genuine danger during what should be a routine field trip. The first graders set out by bus for a cultural visit to a museum, but along the way two of the buses, including the one carrying Anya, are seized by an extremist terrorist group called the Red Circus. The children suddenly find themselves hostages in a life-or-death situation, forced to figure out how to survive and escape. Anya, overwhelmed and dizzy from the flood of terrified thoughts pouring from her classmates' minds, struggles to cope, while the brave Bill Watkins tries to keep everyone calm and assures them that help is coming. As the crisis unfolds, WISE learns of the hijacking, and Sylvia Sherwood, the Handler, decides to intervene directly once she discovers that Anya and Damian Desmond are among the captured children, gathering every available agent to respond. Through the combined courage of the students and the efforts of those working to rescue them, the hijacking is resolved. Afterward, Anya, Becky, Damian, and Bill are honored with Stella Stars in a ceremony at Eden for their bravery. At home, Loid and Yor are proud of Anya but scold her for her recklessness during the ordeal.
