At fifteen, his seemingly ordinary life transformed when he swallowed one of Ryomen Sukuna's twenty fingers, becoming the curse's vessel. Recruited into Tokyo Jujutsu High to consume Sukuna's remaining fingers, Yuji found unexpected friendship and purpose through Jujutsu society. However, Sukuna's influence progressively grew, and by the Shibuya Incident arc, Sukuna began permanently controlling Yuji's body. The Culling Game arc revealed the horrifying truth: Kenjaku had engineered events to allow Sukuna full resurrection into Megumi's body. By series' end, Yuji struggles to prevent Sukuna's escape even as Sukuna dominates through sheer willpower and cursed energy superiority.

Yuji Itadori is an ordinary, freakishly athletic high-schooler whose life ends and restarts the day he eats one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers to save his friends. The cursed object makes him the vessel of the King of Curses — and earns him an immediate death sentence from the jujutsu world, suspended only so he can consume all twenty of Sukuna’s fingers first.
