Backstory

Satoru Gojo inherited the Six Eyes at birth, an extraordinarily rare ability that appears once every hundred years. This ability grants perfect perception and understanding of all cursed energy in existence, allowing him to perceive curses with absolute clarity and calculate their capabilities instantly. Combined with the Infinity technique—a power that controls and manipulates the space around him—Gojo became the jujutsu world’s undisputed strongest by his teens. His ascent was meteoric; schools recognized his talent immediately, and his power manifested with such overwhelming superiority that no opponent ever posed genuine threat.

This early dominance created psychological isolation. Gojo had no rivals, no genuine competition, no one who understood his power level. His only meaningful childhood connection was Geto Suguru, the second-strongest sorcerer of their generation who, despite possessing tremendous ability, remained clearly inferior to Gojo’s capabilities. Their friendship offered Gojo a taste of genuine connection, but even this proved fragile; when Geto’s philosophy diverged toward embracing curses, he left humanity and jujutsu society. During the Shibuya Incident, Kenjaku orchestrated Gojo’s sealing in the Prison Realm using a special-grade cursed object. His removal fundamentally altered the series’ trajectory. Without the world’s strongest protector, society became vulnerable.
