Choso is one of the Death Painting cursed wombs, a half-human, half-cursed being created by the ancient schemer Kenjaku. Older and more self-aware than his brothers, he possesses a fierce protectiveness that sets him apart from the monsters he was made to be.

Blood Manipulation

Choso’s cursed technique is Blood Manipulation, letting him shape his own blood into piercing projectiles, accelerate it for devastating strikes, and control its properties mid-battle. As a curse born of human blood, he wields the ability with an instinctive, veteran mastery.

Brother to Yuji

The story’s strangest bond is Choso’s conviction that Yuji Itadori is his younger brother, a connection tied to the blood Kenjaku used to make them. What begins as enmity in Shibuya slowly reverses, as Choso’s need to protect family redirects toward the very boy he was sent to kill.

From enemy to guardian

Choso’s arc is the redemption of a manufactured monster who chooses love over his creator’s design. Turning against Kenjaku, he becomes one of Yuji’s fiercest protectors, a curse who found humanity in the family he insisted on claiming.
