Nami is the Straw Hat Pirates’ navigator and, in many ways, the crew’s sharpest mind. Her dream is to draw a complete map of the entire world, a goal that requires sailing every sea she once only read about. Money-savvy, quick-tempered and fiercely practical, she is the anchor of common sense on a ship of dreamers.

A childhood stolen by Arlong

Nami grew up in a village occupied by the fish-man pirate Arlong, forced to draw sea charts for him under the false promise of buying her village’s freedom. That trauma made her distrust pirates entirely — until Luffy tore Arlong’s empire down and gave her a crew worth trusting.

Reading the sky

Nami fights and navigates with the Clima-Tact, a staff that manipulates weather to conjure mirages, lightning and storms. Her uncanny ability to feel a change in the wind or sky keeps the Straw Hats alive across seas that would sink any ordinary vessel.
