Tenya Iida is the strait-laced class representative of Class 1-A, a stickler for rules whose earnest sense of duty makes him the moral backbone of the group. Beneath the rigid formality is a young man fiercely devoted to the ideal of heroism.

Engine Quirk

Iida’s Quirk, Engine, gives him powerful exhaust engines in his calves, granting him tremendous speed. He fights as a swift, mobile hero, closing distance in an instant, and refines his technique to control that raw velocity.

The shadow of Ingenium

Iida idolizes his older brother, the hero Ingenium, and when a villain leaves his brother crippled, Iida is consumed by a desire for revenge. His temporary fall from his own principles, and his recovery, form the core of his character.

Duty above all

Iida’s arc is the reconciliation of his rigid code with real compassion, learning that being a hero means more than following rules. He emerges as a leader his classmates trust completely.
