InuYasha's full-demon brother Sesshomaru appears, pursuing the same jewel shards for mysterious reasons.
As InuYasha and Kagome continue their quest, they encounter Sesshomaru, InuYasha's older brother and a powerful full-demon. Unlike InuYasha, Sesshomaru shows no sympathy for humans and dismisses his half-brother as weak.
