Season 2: The Return of the Prince

Six years after Rachel's betrayal, Bam returns transformed as Jue Viole Grace, a Slayer candidate for the assassin organization FUG, climbing under a new identity through the Workshop Battle and the Hell Train.

Season 2, titled The Return of the Prince, performs one of the boldest narrative pivots in webtoon history. After Rachel's betrayal leaves Bam presumed dead, the story leaps forward roughly six years and shifts focus, at first, onto a new cast led by the cowardly but determined climber Ja Wangnan. Readers gradually realize that the masked, powerful figure climbing alongside this new group is Bam himself, reborn under the name Jue Viole Grace as a Slayer candidate for FUG, the shadowy organization sworn to destroy the Tower's god-king Jahad. This season is structured into several large parts. The Workshop Battle pits Viole and his companions against rival teams in a sprawling tournament hosted within a weapons workshop, where the prize is a powerful Ignition Weapon and survival itself. The arc deepens the Tower's lore around the 13 Month Series weapons and the families that wield them, while reuniting Viole with old companions including Khun, who has spent the intervening years searching for his lost friend. Their reunion is one of the series' most celebrated emotional beats. The second major part, the Hell Train, sends the team aboard a perilous train crossing a hostile floor, where each carriage is its own trial and where Bam confronts both external enemies and his own fractured identity. Throughout Season 2, the betrayal that ended Season 1 continues to drive the plot, as Rachel reappears as a manipulative figure pursuing her own ambitions, forcing Bam to reconcile loyalty, grief and the question of what he is willing to become to keep climbing. Across its length, Season 2 expands Tower of God from a contained survival-game story into an epic of political intrigue, found family and cosmic stakes. It establishes the long-running tension between FUG, the Jahad Empire, and Bam's own emerging will, transforming him from a boy chasing a friend into a power capable of reshaping the Tower itself.
