Entertainment District Arc

Tanjiro joins Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui to infiltrate the Entertainment District and battle the Upper Moon siblings Daki and Gyutaro.

The Entertainment District arc plunges Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira into the world of the Yoshiwara entertainment quarter under the guidance of the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, a former shinobi who operates with flamboyance and tactical precision in equal measure. Tengen has dispatched his three wives into the district as undercover intelligence operatives seeking the demon who has been causing disappearances among the courtesans and their attendants. When his wives go silent, Tengen takes the three demon slayers in as his own attendants — disguised as women — to continue the search. The arc develops two parallel tracks: the demon slayers infiltrating rival establishments to find clues, and the escalating danger as the true culprit emerges. The Entertainment District's demon threat comes in the form of Daki and Gyutaro, Upper Rank Six demons who share a single rank despite being separate entities — a twisted sibling pair whose centuries of shared survival have made them functionally one being. The battle against Daki and Gyutaro is Demon Slayer's most technically demanding fight to this point. Tengen must simultaneously coordinate the three demon slayers across rooftops and alleyways while fighting Gyutaro, whose poisoned sickles and blood manipulation make him lethally efficient in close quarters. The arc's emotional core lies in Gyutaro and Daki's backstory — two children from the absolute bottom of Yoshiwara's hierarchy who clawed their way to demonic power through mutual protection. Their bond, twisted as it is, becomes unexpectedly moving, and their final moments together give the arc a bittersweet resonance that transcends typical shonen battle conclusions.
